Mrs. Eb is cooking the dinner. The oven is lit and two rings are on, if she lights a third ring the gas cuts off. Plenty of gas in the cylinder and the oven and two rings will light again after I press the green button on the regulator.
The secumotion regulator we are using is 1.2kg/h which a rough calculation tells me should be well capable of delivering the gas the cooker is using, I may be wrong about that though. If not I can only assume it's on it's way out, if so that's number three on a van just approaching four years old. It does get a lot of use, we are living in it (the van that is).
Luckily I carry a spare regulator, something I would recommend everybody to do, Alan.
Yep sorry about that your secumotion has got its filter blocked. Common ailment with this system especially if you have rubber hoses between the secumotion and the bottles. When you change it again pay up and get the stainless Gaslow ones installed instead. Personally, I would bin the secumotion it doesn't carry a warranty after you switch it on. Connect up a gaslow system that carries a 5 year warranty. You may not want to run the system whilst you are travelling but this is a small price to pay to continually replacing your secumotion system every year
Hi Alan, good advice, we don't have Secumotion but have had a truma regulator fail before with a similar scenario as yours. We have always carried a spare regulator since then, peace of mind for a relatively small outlay if it happens again, especially in the middle of nowhere.

After 3 failures I replaced with an old school direct to the bottle reg which cost £4.50 and no problems since
I also think its a safer safer option as all pipework is low pressure and I would not travel with the gas ON "safe" or not

What spare regulator do you carry pete, please?.
Not used a massive amount of gas in this van. But switching to refillable as we intend to use more non EHU. Having a few issues with Gaslow (as we did last time around). So wanting to make sure we are covered.
Chris Wise from Autogas 2000 assured me that it would be a waste of good money to fit the stainless pipes and that other suppliers were selling them to make more money. I decided to fit rubber as per his suggestion and they have been on for 2 years now. We are not full timing but they have quite a bit of use without problem.
I do carry a spare regulator and water pump, the two main pieces of can't do without equipment.
I have heard quite a few reports lately of failures with stainless pipes, therefore I am inclined to think that Chris is right.
My reservation is that I do have a Truma regulator, but it is the ordinary bulkhead model.
Only time will tell.
