Looking for a status aerial for M/H anyone got one for sale or alternatively, where is the cheapest place to buy one please? And just as an add on how easy are they to fit, what degree in electrical engineering do i need???????????????????
I would say not difficult but that is a matter of perspective. You will of course have to follow the instructions and confidently drill a substantial hole in the correct place in your roof
Mine took me around an hour to fit - most of the time was taken up in measuring and measuring again. Make sure that you go through something substantial in the roof - there is usually a strut or similar that the coachbuilder put in where it is meant to go. Burstner (my previous van) were even helpful and out a red circular sticker at the place where it was meant to go.

The status aerial should be available at any good caravan accessory supplier. I see that you have a Sundance 590RS, the place to fit the aerial is into the wardrobe. The 12V wiring is already in placein the trunking in the front corner of the wardrobe as is the aerial feed into the TV cupboard.

When fitting mine I cut the roof skins to start with, inside then outside.
There were wires in the roof at the exact point so I didn't actually cut them......very lucky or good planning???
