While checking out the fault on my towbar lighting I found a blown bulb in the rear cluster.
I have loads of bulbs that I carry with me, but not the one I needed
10w/12v medium round type. So I went off down the town and got a couple.
I had a hell of a game getting to bulb out. It is in a plastic holder that clips on to a metal frame that all the other bulbs just push into.

The bulb would not come out so I remove the frame and then the plastic holder. This is the stupid bit, to get the earth the designer has put a lug up the side of the bulb holder that goes though the plastic and rests against the bulb.

This lug also jams the bulb into the holder I took along time to remove the bulb and to replace it with the new one.

Why put a plastic bulb holder when all the others are in the metal frame. I can see that this holder is not going to put up with much more and then they will say, you need and complete light cluster to replace the blroken plastic bulb holder grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Rant over

Andy

Next time I go to a Motorhome show I'll ask the salesman to demonstrate how to change the rear bulbs!
