We bought an Aygo as we were told in writing by Toyota it was ok to tow because it had the MMT gearbox. That apparently is a manual gearbox with electronic actuation. I was also told that the IQ has a normal auto gearbox and as such can't be towed.
You could try asking 'A' frame suppliers but be careful as they have a vested interest! Avoid Towtall, unreliable electrics.
Cheers G

Unfortunately you can't tow an automatic IQ as it has a CVT gearbox. A shame as it is an excellent vehicle, my wife stopped her Golf GTi with a DSG box for an IQ3 auto last year and wouldn't go back. You could always trailer it.

No, you cannot flat tow an iQ. It has a CVT belt drive.
You can flat tow an Aygo that has a Tiptronic gearbox like the Smart.
Smart-Trailer only for an iQ automatic.
