Did the motor engage at all when you tried retracting the dish?

Is it windy there, that can cause the motor to stop?

Hi the only thing I could think of is to check the volts on the receiver/control box as when the motors are in curcuit it just may be that the volts are not high enough to drive the motors, as thus showing an error.... can't be more help at this distance for a cold southsea... if you are on hook up try going to manual search and see if you can turn the diah left and right then go to settings min elevation and see if you can move the dish up and down. chec battery voltage if not on hookup run engine for ten mins first. good luck.

Clive's answer is the most likely - I've seen one or two folks with flat batteries that couldn't retract. The Oyster is normally wired to the engine battery not leisure Try starting the engine and running it a few minutes. I have seen campers that needed to run the engines for 10 or more minutes before the battery recharged enough.

Dont know if it is any help but I have an Alden dish and recently had the same problem, it wouldn't come down even on running the engine.
I simply unplugged the data cable from my control box with the power off and replaced it after 5 seconds, it came down as soon as i turned the power back on

may seem a fun question but who fitted your dish
l ask because one fitter takes the plug off which can cause problems
with loose wires later on

Hi

If all else fails, I would suggest running the engine at more than tick-over and waiting a bit.

Failing that, there should be a way of getting the dish down manually, maybe by just pushing it down.

Good luck and have a happy Christmas.

it is possible to fold the dish manually by getting on the roof and undoing the two bolts one either side then folding the dish down and re doing the bolts tight in order to stop the wind getting under
it
but first of all if you get a small pointed screw driver and check that
the plug /wire connections into the plug going into the control box are all pushed in ok
l had this problem this year just before heading to Spain and this has fixed the problem
good look
