I have a megasat dome which will not lock on. After about ten minutes lights keep flashing and going up and down on receiver. Anyone got any ideas please

Try changing your transponder to 12.441 from 11.778. We couldn't get ours to work till an follow camper at Chertsey helped us with the above information. Sky have moved their satilites slightly.
Anyway its the best advice and worth a try. Theres a previous post on locking on with Oyster- Domes with sky boxes same principal??

We had a problem with the same symptoms which turned out to be a broken cable between the LNB and the control box. Worth a look with a meter.

Hi.
A NON technical word of caution,if you are going to take the "Dome cover/shroud" off,be carefull,as when ours was being taken off the old c/van it was a freezing cold day and the dome cracked around the bottom ,the dome itself is very fragile so be gentle with it.
Technical stuff?.... PASS.
