Hi
Can any of you experts out there tell me what this box is for please.

The van came with oyster sat dish fitted, through a pace sky minibox which can be seen next to the oyster control box.

The pace box was wired through the "mystery box"at the back when we got the van but when we tried to use it with our new tele the pacebox blew a fuse so as we did not need sky we got a freesat box (not shown)

We got the dealer to wire up the freesat box to the oyster setup and as you can see he wired it through the "mystery box" I did ask at the time if that was necessary and he said it was better.

We have had no problems at all but the reason I am curious now is because of the problems some folk have had locking on to Astra 2 with the older oysters.

We have not had any problem so far so I was wondering if this box is helping in anyway because I could find no reference or need for it in any oyster or pace ADS.

Its a 07 model van and we got it in09 so the age of the oyster must be somewhere about that age.

Please see my first attempt at adding pictures

Can anyone shed light on this

Regards

Ray

Thanks Loddy , its good to know its not just an "add on" or something strange, I tried lots of web sites trying to find out what the box was for and they al showed the oyster and the control box but not this other box, unless I missed something.

Before I went back to the dealer because the pace was blowing I did manage to get a picture just wired into the control box which was why I asked if it needed the "extra box"

Thanks again

Ray.
