I have an Adria Twin with a fitted towbar and electrics. I am keen to fit a scooter rack for a small bike of around 100KG, and am keen to know how big a legal challenge this is going to be. I guess I would prefer a van mounted carrier to some sort of trailer. We will never tow anything, so I am not worried if the tow-ball (or even the whole tow-rack) need to be replaced.

With so many Fiat-based panel van conversions around, I am hoping that someone has already done this. All recommendations will be very welcome - ie: can it be done at all? Do carriers fit to the tow-ball or replace the two-ball on the tow-rack? Should I/can I uprate the rear suspension?

T hree tips:

1) Go to a weighbridge fully loaded as for touring trip, (including partner!);

2) http://www.watling-towbars.co.uk/motorbike_scooter_carrier.html
