Hi there, I am trying to download the campsites onto my satnav and it just isn't working. It downloads "something", but when you look at the content it just shows 0kb and there is nothing there. Does anyone know why this is please?

Thanks!

Our Downloads section is for members (there has to be something you cannot get for free). If you do join us, you will need to provide more information regarding your sat nav

Ah right thanks, didn't realise! Not a problem - though it would have been helpful to know this before I spent all afternoon trying lol (maybe a note just before doing the download)! Will join shortly. Thank you. Very Happy

If you have a TomTom the points of interest section when you link to your computer is very rich in downloadable material; Aires, Camp-sites and anything else you could wish for and for free.

Right, I've subscribed and paid and I still can't download anything onto my satnav! Its a TomTom 710.

Do I need to create a "brochure" and then download? I thought I could just download all the campsites onto the satnav from the search page but perhaps not ....

Please help me - thanks!

P.S. On the page where you choose which file you'd like it says "there are matching entries please wait" and "manipulating data please wait" but nothing happens ....

I know what to do, and have just downloaded a POI from here:
http://www.motorhomefacts.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=ns_getit&cid=19&lid=59&type=url#get

But as you don't give a link or say exactly which file from where you are after, I cannot help you any more I'm afraid Sad

After connecting my sat-nav to the computer and allowing it to update itself and whatever. I go to Points of interest section on the big menu, there are I think two pages of menus with about six options on each page (from memory). From there on it is a matter of selecting the points of interest you wish to have available, there are several for Aires, the latest being the largest I believe.
It is of course possible that the memory on your TomTom is full or that you need a bigger chip, which is not a problem to change if it has a chip. My previous TomTom was a 710 and it worked on that one but I did use a larger memory on the chip which contained all of Western Europe.
I hope some of this may be of help.
PM me if I can help any further.
Alan

I'll merge your two threads Smiths. Very Happy

Cross posting usually leads to confusion, and any sequential ideas which may result in a favourable conclusion to your problem will not occur in multiple threads.

Thanks everyone - its not actually from the Resources - Downloads section I'm trying to download from (I didn't even know that was there until someone above pointed it out!) but its from the bottom of the map of campsites where it says "Export to GPS". Basically I want to put the Wild Camping, Independent and Pub Stopover campsites onto my satnav but when I click on Export to GPS it goes to the next page, I click on TomTom, it looks like it has downloaded something but there is nothing in that file.
