Has anyone used this site ( 826 in the 2012 ACSI Book [MHF Link]) for Vienna ?

We normally stay at Aktiv Camping Neue Donau when visiting Vienna but it's quite pricey even in low season and we want to spend some time there.

This looks a pleasant alternative- and it's an ACSI site !

If you've used this site we'd be grateful for your comments please.

Hi Grizzly, I can highly recommend it, There is also a restaurant there which is also very nice, we stayed there for a few days about three years ago, There is transport to the rail and then into city, Very clean site.
If I remember correctly it took about 30-40 minutes to get into City.

Look at Camping Tulln also ACSI site we have stopped there twice and it is excelllent. Just drive or walk to railway station 3 euro's for P+R and catch the train into the city centre.
Tulln Town is lovely you can catch boats there and go up the Donau (Danube) either way and good for shopping.

Hi Grizzly,

We stayed there for a week last May and thought it was reasonably good. The pitches are quite small and the site was packed. We were lucky to get in when we arrived late in the day without booking.

We used ACSI and I see it is in the 2012 edition at €16 per night. "Period when card is accepted: 26/3-9/7 1/9-5/11"

5 minute walk to the station for an excellent service into Vienna if you get a day ticket. The ticket covers the range of city transport which is very clean and efficient.

The town is a bit further past the station and it's worth a visit if you have time.
