I have Eberspacher. There are so many things about it I like - heats entire van on the move from waste engine heat, hot water on tap as soon as you arrive and lasts for hours, can control it via a remote or timer, can warm the engine for otherwise very cold starts. It is superbly integrated.
Against it is are noise and whacks the batteries, both on start-up.
Next time I'll go for LPG powered heating, provided I could use it to heat the entire van on the move legally throughout Europe with a Secu-whatsit or otherwise, and could have timer functions.

our LPG Alde heated on the move via Secu-motion. But that meant using gas. I fitted as have a few who did not have it as standard, an Alde heat exchanger. This uses wasted engine heat to heat the ALDE system to heat the Habitation space and the water.
This is also linked to the Eberspacher diesel heater (Mercedes Chassis fit). So you can use this to heat the system or reverse the system to warm the engine.
What I really want is a 3kW LPG powered fuel cell, which produces mains power and water vapour, then all you need is resistance wires for everything! Reduces complexity - LPG in, all van electricity and heating requirements met. KISS
I like my Eberspacher/Alde diesel powered heating and hot water very much. One drawback is that it is very difficult to bleed if the system needs to be drained for any reason, service etc. That problem seems to be peculiar probably due to the piping layout in our van as others report that it's quite straight forward on their vans, Alan.
