Hi All Confused
I wonder if you could help us, we are due to tour France this year, first timers oooh ahhh, about early July and travelling from Dunkirk to St Malo and back, due to a wedding vist in Jersey Very Happy. Could anyone tell me if they know of any interesting historical sites on the way down to St Malo and any good stopovers, that we could visit on route or any good websites we can connect with to give us this information.
Many Thanks
Ian and Su

Hi Ian and Su
There are a number of impressive neolithic sites which on two occasions we chose to visit and failed, we decided that they were some of the great French secrets. Their road signposting is not on the same scale as the UK where you are hard put to avoid those brown signs, or perhaps we were unlucky.
Good luck Neil

A little out of your way but there is probably the finest collection of Megalithic remains in Europe near a small place called Carnac in Brittany. Very well worth a diversion and free (well it was 30 years ago when I went)
