I carried out a usability study of Tablet computers a few months ago. Took every model and put them in front of 45 people from different backgrounds.
The favourite product by far was the Samsung, followed by the Acer Android model then the Advent Vega. The Apple iPad came a lowly 6th, mainly because of its user restrictions.

Such a lot depends on what you want it for...
Me? I wanted a full PC running Windows but that I could use as a sort of clipboard as well as being my ebook and radio at night.
For that, I got an EeePC which is sound and reasonably capable.
It does suffer from a very common problem for many tablets used as clipboards. You can't read the screen in sunshine or even bright light outdoors. Far too much reflection off the screen. Bit heavy, too for extended use on the arm...
Apart from that, it is a good solid workhorse.

If you wanted Windows, why did you not buy a Windows Tablet?
I personally consider the Asus EeePC Tablet to be the best of the bunch.
However, some of my colleagues have nicked the Windows Tablets for long term assessment.

The new Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime running Android 4.0 has had very favourable reviews indeed. I had narrowed the choice down to the Samsung or Sony but will now want to see a Transformer to compare against them.
I'm waiting for something like the Asus Prime with Android ICS, but with a full HD display (>= 1920*1080). Not sure about the spun aluminium and they'd have to sort out the GPS problem it currently has, too.
Still, let's see what gets announced in Las Vegas this coming week.
I had a transformer which I have since given to one of my grandsons.
His whole family love it and were using it to play on a plane trip to Italy during the summer and while playing a flying game on while landing, he shouts out, OH No! I'm going to crash! . Several passengers I think wished they had packed some clean underwear in their hand luggage.
Reason I game it away was simply I tragically missed windows and microsoft which I have been with since the 80's. It did everything I needed but somehow I prefer a laptop for travel and up in the bedroom.
But I can highly recommend it as it is just amazing to see films being streamed on it without so much as a judder. It simply does what it says on the tin and more.
I cannot comment on the others as I have not seen them.
