No contest between those two aires Clive, Le Crotoy wins hands down every time.

There's also a nice little pull-in around the bay just off the D940 which is ideal for watching the local bird population and taking a walk across the marsh.

If you lend someone £20 and never see that person again, it was probably well worth it. Wink

I must say I prefer the Carrefour at CitiEurope to Auchan.

I'm not a great fan of campsites but sometimes, when I fancy just a couple of days over there, I base myself at Camping Pommiers Des Trois Pays 50.77980,1.94777 in Liques just a 25k drive to Calais, Cite E and located in an area ideal for walking and cycling.

Quite a pleasant site with all the usual facilities including free wifi.

Pommiers

It's also convenient for a last/first night before/after a ferry crossing.

Lol. Not a problem we're off for about 10 days next month (hopefully skiing) so that'll scratch the itch for the time being Very Happy A ferry to France from Swansea or Pembroke would be ideal..............

Contact Irish Ferries and see if they will do a through fare from Pembroke to Roscoff or Cherbourg the mileage to and from Dover will go a long way toward paying the ferry fare.
