yes only 31000 on a 2008 pug and the clutch has gone it started slipping over xmas .
just had it replaced and the flywheel needed to be changed as well
cost for a flywheel £662.
the whole job £1849.31.
its done now and we are back on the road .
12 months time this m/home will be sold on .to run this m/home is more expensive to run than my old dragcar as in drag racing
i have never worn a clutch out in 31000 miles before so was a bit taken back with this .
and then the price really done me.
i was not aware that the flywheel would be a problem or so expensive.
I assume we are talking standard Fiat engine here. i.e. it wasn't chipped?

I would think a chip would be the last thing you would want on the 3Ltr engine, torque control would be very useful,
Clutches on these engines are in my opinion a little light & should have been beefed up more to cope with the 6th gear.
All new vehicles to my knowledge have the "dual mass flywheel" to quieten the engine down well Diesels anyway..
When the clutch goes the flywheel needs replacing too and in a Ford the starter motor too...
Only the Renault and older fiats dont have them..
BUT in the car industry you can specify a "new" fix which is a four part kit bit like the old style clutches..been out a while and people use them all the time....
I sold my Ducato very quickly as they are a huge problem some have no probs but most will have and they cost a fortune to repair...I just love Renaults..well the Master anyway.
