discuss

I realise there will be an obvious aerodynamic issue but will it leak?
Which way is it best to mount it?
Should I use a batten inside over the u bolts to try and strengthen the fixings?
Has anyone done it?
Have they regretted it?

Thanks

I have seen a lot on the road. Seen some in forecourts. Some glued on with Sikaflex!.

Do you have roof rails?

sorry teenymob I've been offline for a couple of days. Yes we have a rack covering the back half of the roof which has a couple of rails going left the right but not sure if they are in the right place. having said that I think they are held on with bolts so I could move them

If all else fails we have a Thule roofbox for our people carrier which could go on the roof but I just wanted to elimnate the need to store the fiamma box which is quite large

at the moment the box sits on the bike rack but we've just bought new bikes and need to use the rack. The fiamma box has been used to date for the kids bikes and outdoor games plus a other lightwieght MH kit but my son has gone from balance bike to mountain bike now so there will be one v.small bike to lift onto the roof. In addition we will need to carry folding chairs etc this summer ....on the assumption that the weather in the UK in August will allow us to sit out Very Happy
