Hope you can help me.

Which do you feel is the preferred option assuming that the AutoSleeper Harmony/Duetto bodies are identical in quality..

1994 Talbot Express 2.0 Petrol 42k miles or 1998 For Transit 2.0 Petrol 64k miles (the latter is £1000 more expensive). Both have FSH. We intend doing circa £5k miles a year.

Thanks in anticipation

Buzz

Not much in it really, you are paying an extra £1,000 for a younger model. OK it has a little more mileage on it but both are still low for their age.
Personally, I would try to find a turbo diesel instead if that is possible within your budget.

Thanks for the feedback Trevor. Only turbo diesels I can find in my price bracket £8/10k have mileages 100k +, so thought a low mileage petrol might be a better option. Mrs Buzz is sold on Autosleeper Harmony.

Will keep your details on file as you are close to us

Cheers

If you are only planning to do 5000 a year the lower mpg is less of a concern
Pick the one you like best
A petrol van will be harder to shift though if you decided to change later
Before we bought our van (a diesel) i was worried about the cost of fuel but it is not that big a concern if you are not going vast distances every week

May be easier to get bits for the Ford as some Talbot spares are getting hard to find
Head lights etc
But I would go for general condition and lack of rust
