Did you know that the external diameter of a 12v strip light is usually 15.4mm and that the internal diameter of a piece of sink waste is just a fraction larger.
So now we have a chance of keeping the spare tube in one piece!

Great tip, but knowing my success the outer sink waste tube would look perfectly OK and the tube inside would have been broken and the neat waste tube would be keeping all of the pieces together until I needed it....... Laughing Rolling Eyes

Good idea though, so I would disagree with your title Laughing

but not in a way that would stop others wanting to look - which is EXACTLY why I looked in the first place! Laughing

I started reading this thinking why would anyone want to put a light bulb down the sink. Then I saw the picture and it all made sense.

OK so long as it doesn't get knocked too much, what about a bigger tube and some foam at each end.

Hi

Many thanks for the tip, i've tried it and it works great.

The problem i now have, is that whenever i pull the plug out of the sink, we get water all over the floor Laughing
