I have just found a 250 watt solar panel for 269.99 pound from HQ distribution Ltd, on ebay.

Im no good at doing the link thing but has anyone out got one of these or had dealings with the company.

All info gratefully received.

Thats one hell of a price, around £1 a Watt is it suitable for automotive use?

I agree its either a 24V or more likely a 36V panel so you will need a suitable MPPT regulator.

Well, Vmp=48V, so you would still need an MPPT controller, as mentioned above.

it still puts out 53 volts my solar panel only puts out about 19 volts

would a standard regulator cope ?

also only guaranteed upto wind speed of 130 kph

Personally I'd rather have 3x80w rather than 1x250w as a hedge against damage or failure. Eggs 'n' baskets, etc. More installation options also ...

EDIT: 4x250w sounds good for the boat tho' ... !!
