Confused We are off to Fuerteventura on Saturday alas not in the van which I have sold, and I have been told that I can use a dongle to access the internet with my netbook.
Can anyone tell me how much this would cost and where I can purchase one ?
I am going for 6 weeks and would like to communicate daily.

Cheers Val

PS. I am looking to buy a Hymer 522 van or similar (below 6 meters) if anyone has one in their possesion.

Hi Val,

A dongle is useful, however it is usually expensive to use it abroad.

Buying one in Spain may also be expensive to use just for 6 weeks.

Lots of places do have WiFi.

hopefully there will be more knowledgeable people along soon.

I think you need to buy a dongle from a local phone company and pay as you go. I have used a Spanish vodaphone dongal in main land Spain.

Local phone shop. Shop around, some deals are very expensive. My Spainish payg costs 3 cents a mb, which is a very good deal, sadly no longer available. Look at MasMovil http://www.masmovil.es/tarifa-libre-eng

Vodafone are very expensive in Spain, Alan.

Orange dongle was around 30euro to buy, a months conection no limit around 35euro.

The dongle can left unused for 11 months between use(putting money on it) and still work so I have been told.

You just need you passport when you buy it.
