Hi can anyone point us in the direction? we are thinking of using the channel tunnel for the first time. we go ferry normally but are looking to take our Smart on the A frame on the Eurotunnel. is there any issues with this, our concerns were enough room to load without having to disconnect or reverse. When to book to get best price?
Many Thanks (vana)

A great way to cross, straight on to the autoroute as well. Even better if you pay for it using Tesco vouchers. When loading just take your time, watch the marshall, if you need to reverse, do it gently, if that fails, unhook and push it
Good luck

We have travelled 8 times return with car and 8 metre caravan and have never had a problem and think it is the only way to go. It may be more expencive but it is worth it to be hassle free. If you belong to the Caravan Club look for their prices on their website they are usually pretty competitive. We are going in April off peak hours and have booking for £198. return. For this you have to put in 2 or 3 different times and dates to find the best price. We always go out before 6 am and come home before midday. If you arrive up to 2 hours before your booking they will put you on their first available crossing.
