I had taken out my insurance cover with Motorhomefacts.
and as I was not given any idea what I was to do in the advent of a breakdown here or oversea I was woundering if anyone had had any experiance with this problem.

Did you not ask about breakdown cover before you paid? Surely they have supplied some sort of documentation?

MHFacts insurance is via Comfort Insurance brokers/Aviva.

I have Comfort/Aviva insurance but not Via MHFacts (Comfort Horizon Policy) and they supply a handbook with breakdown/contact details for travel at home and abroad along with lots of other info.

You need to confirm whether these two policies are the same, if they are, you can download the policy booklet from their website, but you must check whether this booklet also applies to cover arranged via MHFacts or not first....

>Comfort Horizon Policy Jan2011 Onwards<

I did get a hard copy of the paperwork but it did take a couple of phone calls to get it sorted.

Assuming you took what I think they call the platinum cover which includes the breakdown cover then the numbers are 0800 028 0038 if you're in the UK or 0044 1603 603047 if you are out of the country.

It may be worth giving the UK number a ring to check if you are covered.

Horizon standard cover does not include breakdown. You need Horizon Advantage.
If you have breakdown cover you would have been given telephone numbers to ring if you need assistance.
We had to use this in Spain 2 years ago and had no trouble getting help.
