My Peugeot Boxer motorhome has just started crunching into second gear, the clutch is not slipping and is fine in all other gears. If Im very "gentle" it will engage smoothly - any ideas, is there adjustment at all.

You don't say what year or engine size the van is! But generally if the clutch is the cause of gear engage problems it would normally be 1st and reverse that would be troublesome. If the clutch was worn enough to "slip" then unless the free travel had been reduced to try and stop the slip (only possible on the pre 2.8 as is cable operated and not hydraulic) it would be unlikely to make the gear change crunch. Sadly if you are getting a graunch / crunch when engaging 2nd gear it is most likely the synchro blocker rings on the 2nd gear that has worn and is no longer doing its job.
If that is the case the only remedy is to remove the box and replace the worn parts, or fit an exchange box.
