I have been contacted by a friend who has a problem with a satellite installation. I do not have one installed, but was wondering if any member has dealt with similar.

I believe that his activex needs to be reinstalled by updating the browser. Am I correct?

message:- I have a very urgent problem that I cant sort out. I have a disc for updating for updating our Zen-Rad satellite systems, which has been sent to me from France. I have been trying to load it for the last week. I am loading it onto Vista the disc load in ok and says complete, it puts on icon on the desktop but when we click on it to open it it brings up the message comdlg32.ocx one of its dependencies is missing.

Hope you can advise

Regards

From the WWW Worldwide tech support site, aka, google:

Re: 'comctl32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered
To register it start the command prompt (in admin mode). Change to the
c:\windows\system32 folder if not there already. Then do: regsvr32
comstl32.ocx
If successful you should get a popup saying "DllregisterServer in
comscl32.ocx succeeded"

30 seconds that took .... Rolling Eyes
