Morning All
I am thinking of having 2 roof light extractor fans fitted. One in the bathroom the other above the cooker. Have any of you out there had this done and do they work. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Neil

ps weather is lovely here in Portimao !!

Hello,

Depends on the existing sizes.

I replaced the ones on our old van with Fiamma ones. Very simple job.

I have gone the other way and replaced an extractor with a mini heki skylight, they were exactly the same dimensions and it was a fairly straightforward swap.

we have 2 rooflights, the bathroom one has an extractor fan, which works very well. The kitchen one is just a plain "window" with a transparent dome. You should consider that having a fan and all its workings will cut down the amount of natural light getting in from above... Idea

Precisely Mike, and one of the main reasons that we removed it was to provide more natural light in the kitchen area.Coupled with the fact that ours was noisy and not particularly efficient,we have not regretted the decision. Wink

Thanks to you all for the info. I think I will just get one fitted to the bathroom so that it can suck out all the steam when having a shower!!
