While browsing for something else I came across this. It occurred to me that it might be useful for those who want to keep their windscreen frost free ( and avoid cold down draughts in the cab area) but don't want to put on an external screen- when on some aires for example. It might also be useful for those who are skiing.

Just a thought...

Would take a hell of a lot of battery power if left on overnight. Maybe alright to be used in the morning when you've got the engine running.

My Ford Focus C Max had an electric heating element built into the windscreen itself, excellent bit of kit.

Thanks for that.

I could certainly do with something like that in winter on my large windscreen.

I have some reservations -

It looks as though the suckers keep it a bit away from the screen and that size may not transfer enough heat to the periphery of the screen, which in my case would be considerable - maybe I need 3!

Like Joe, I wonder about the power consumption, but could find no rating in the advert.

Will investigate further.

Hi Geoff,

After Joe's comment I looked for similar covers with a power rating given but have not found another one like it anywhere. It was only a thought, as I saw the thing, that it might be useful to someone- possibly even only on hook up. I wonder, even if it does not cover the whole screen ( it was designed for a car after all ), if it would still go some way to preventing condensation by warming up the single glazed windscreen.
