I want to fit a second leisure battery to my van. I just want to know if it is necessary to fit a battery with the same A.H. as the battery that is already fitted or can I fit a larger capacity battery. Present battery is 95ah thought I might add a 110 ah battery.
Thanks in advance Crimpleken

It is better to fit multiple leisure batteries which are the same size, same age, and same usage (ideally new).

This is so their charge/discharge characteristics are matched, otherwise the smaller or older battery will get worked harder, fail earlier and bring the other battery down with it!
