Yep, just put another pane of glass on top. Trick is you need to do it when it's all nice and dry and warm, because the new pane will have to be siliconed around the edge - and you need to avoid condensation forming under the new pane.

I wouldn't even bother with the glass on top if it's only a crack. Just put a bead of clear silicon along the crack. If they can glue aquariums corners together with clear silicon it should be easily up to the job of sealing a crack.

I have fitted glass over two 100w panels successfully, in the way Subfiver suggests.
I use them in the garden to run the pond pump and a street lamp.

So far this seems a very easy solution. I say so far because it's only been a month or so now. Anyway we have a 230 w. panel that had the tempered glass completely shattered, but still in place. I was at the hardware store looking for glass or plastic to cover it when I discovered a liquid plastic paint. This stuff goes on completely clear and has the advantage of in a way gluing all those little pieces of glass together and it seals everything as well. The finish is pretty smooth and the panel works just fine. I think the only downside will be if this plastic turns yellow with age, I don't think it will.

Anyway I got the panel for free as it was meant to be thrown away and with 230 watts even a reduced output still gives us plenty of charging power.
