hoping to go to cawood park this weekend near selby north yorks near to home. stayed at castle inn cawood last year as this site was full nice little site three brilliant pubs in the village all do food had a really good weekend hopefully will get to try this site out.

Lucky you!! i have stayed there twice last year on their super pitches . is a really nice site and the village which is 2 minutes walk if that!

Stayed there 2 years ago. Really nice site. I think there was only the 2 pubs then though as one had been closed.

Only problem I had was when leaving, going over the bridge a bus coming the other way wasn't too helpful. Nearly got jammed. The sound of branches scrapping the van is not a good one. Luckily the marks polished off.

hya alan yes the ferry inn apparently reopened in 2009 not good reviews re food but the beer garden looked nice by the side of the river.did not go over the bridge in our van but your experience sounds painful

Another lesson learnt. Horrible feeling though, that one of inpending doom as you get out to look at the damage followed by great feeling of relief as you think "that'll polish off" Embarassed

really dissapointed have had a crap week at work and was looking forward to going to cawood park for the weekend.fair weather camper other half was up for it but motorhomes can only go on hard standing pitches and there is'nt one available till the 17th.so bottle of red and a hot soak will have to do.
