hya my name is janice other half is john motorhome is lotte. we b ought her last year it was my lottery dream to buy a motorhome and tour the uk. we bought a swift escape 624 (any swift escapers out there please get in touch) i love her. hubby more into technical side of things a bit of a fairweather camper has issues with battery life and solar panels relating to this.

Hi Janice, john and not forgetting lottie, also escape owners, (686). We also love our van. Use it all year round too. Have 2 leisure batteries and a solar panel also gaslow. Longest we have managed off hook up was about 5 weeks, admittedly in Portugal, October/November.
We manage 5 days in poor weather, and as we and Andy and Morag (Hezbez) discovered at New year it doesnt take long for the engine to recharge the batteries if your charger develops a fault Rolling Eyes Laughing
John is on CPAPventilation overnight, was surprised to learn that using inverter (aldi's best) drains the battery less than straightforward 12 vots.
I am not terribly technically minded but there are loads of knowledgeable people on here.
If we can be of any escape specific help just ask.
