Hello,

My 2007 311CDi Mercedes Sprinter Traveliner failed its MOT today on Brakes @ 37,000 miles.

The Brakes worked Okay, passed that part of the test.

But Despite the outside of the Discs looking just slightly worn, the insides are unevenly worn.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I will see if I can put some pictures up.

Looks like seized sliders to me, possibly a partially seized piston.

The MOT Station have not mentioned or suggested the Cause.

Enza Have quoted me £189+VAT Fitted for Disc & Pads
The MOT Station £245+VAT

If The MOT STation don't do the work, they want a re-test Fee of £30!

Free the calipers up and replace the discs and pads Trev, won't cost a fortune but buy the parts, or at least the discs, from a motor factor, not MB, Alan.

A mate of mine (Ex Mercedes Salesman) Got some parts from a Motor Factor yesterday, £109+VAT but could not free a Torx bolt off so he stopped work.

I have seen sets on Motor Factors from £50!

I need the van back on the roads ASAP As I am losing money. Hence the reason I will have to get someone to do it. I have another van on my Drive but that is insured and taxed but No MOT as it is awaiting a part!.
