Its always a pain when you cannot level your motorhome fully and consequently the gas hob is also not level (pans slide about, oil stays on one side of the frying pan etc)

Many hobs have removeable pan supports which allow a suitable metal spacer (eg coins) to be inserted under one side thus levelling the support.

As long as my kettle does not slide off the hob, we are level.

I've never had my pan slide off the hob, but yes, oil in one side of the pan....

Sounds a good idea David - so long as you don't retrieve the coins too soon after turning off the gas!

At sea one can use pan clamps to stop the sliding (Yacht chandlers). But they won't cure the problem of fat in the wrong part of the pan - at sea it moves around all over the pan, not just on one side - sorry 'segment' (round pans do not have 'sides' Rolling Eyes )
