Particularly useful for people considering touring France for the first time. For those of us that have been going for a while check out the bit about the white posts with the red band - it was news to me.
I think you might have given us more new problems than old problems solved!
I have to say, I've never experienced any problems driving in France, as regards priorty to the right, and we do tend to drive well away from the mainstream.
Only problem I have had is failing to stop at one of those thru'penny bit shaped stop signs, and got on-the-spot 90 euro fine.
Now when we encounter one, we stop and count 1, 2, 3, then drive on.

Wow! €90. I often get annoyed when behind a French vehicle and they insist on stopping for a few seconds when the roads empty in the middle of nowhere. Now I know why!
I have had people charge out in front of me from the right but I suspect they just werent looking rather than following some outdated law.

Mainly concerns 2 lane roundabouts. The geezer on your right has priority so if you're inside and want come off beware of him on the outside who has priority to continue around to the next exit
Simple but be warned.
Seasoned drivers would advocate always using the nearside to them outside to us lane all the way around but be careful of meeting a UK driver who does not know the rule
Drive defensively and always expect the worst. I try fill both lanes on small roundabouts.
Always indicate! most of them are like BMW and Merc drivers and dont know how to use them BUT at least you have done your bit
