Hi All,

We are Neil & Caroline, I'm just over 50 and Caroline's fast approaching 50 Laughing

We are buying a Hobby 750 from another subscriber on here (Hello Mashey). I'm hoping to pick it up in the next couple of weeks, and I can't wait.

This is a new adventure for us, having never owned a motorhome we intend renting our bungalow and then long terming in the Hobby.
I'm lucky that we have a few places we can stay in between trips.

I've been lurking on here for some time and the forum has been a great help for selecting the right motorhome, and I'm sure it will be able to answer a few more questions I'm bound to have once in possession of our new "home."

We'll hopefully meet up with some motorhome facts members on our travels

Hello Neil and Caroline. Welcome to MotorhomeFacts. I hope your stay with us will be a long and fruitful one. There is a great depth of experience and expertise on MHFacts. If you need an answer, just ask the question. There will normally be someone who knows someone who knows the answer!! Confused Wink

A Hobby 750? Wow! I'm sure you'll get lots of pleasure from its use. Wink Just a thought, I know you're both getting on a bit but... I presume you DO have appropriate licences for driving over 3.5 tonnes? Rolling Eyes Wink

Hello you two Smile

You'll love it - I can tell

We are setting off for a 6-8 month stint in April - we are both quitting work and letting our house out too.

We are a similar age - 53/52 - and feel that we need to do it now beofre too many other things get in the way Smile

We have had this m/h a couple of years and three campervans before that so have a little grounding in living in a box Wink

Enjoy Smile

Hi UncleNorm,

Yes I've had my licence since 1978! And also have some experience with driving 7.5 ton lorrys, although that was quite a few years ago.

Thanks Yaxley,

We have been looking for a motorhome for 6 months and after looking at a number of smaller models, it became apparent we were going to need a tag axle and this for us meant a Hobby.
Then it was which layout, we finally settled on the ELC with the bathroom at the rear.
