Hi

I need to purchase another shelf for the oven in our 2011 Rapido 7066df.

The oven installed is the original one put in by Rapido and is badged up as a Rapido oven, but I cannot seem to find out what the "actual" make & model of the oven is. Does anyone know?

The width of the shelf already in it is 34.5cm and it is a very similar shape to these Spinflo shelves, but none of them are the correct width.

Can anyone help?

Hi Jenny,

I bought an adjustable width shelf from one of the shows. It's a better fit than the original shelf in our oven.

Would you be able to get a 35cm wide shelf in? Something like this might fit
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ezee-Fix-UNIVERSAL-ADJUSTING-OVEN-SHELF/dp/B000N5IKPE

Thes e all seem to be 35cm at the slimmest setting but I bet there are others out there which are a little narrower?

I got one of the adjustable ones to try from Peterborough show. Not Franks caravans but the other caravanning stand (the one with the lovely placid German Shepherd dog). They let me try it for free, unfortunately it was too big for my oven but it looked well made and I was annoyed it didn't fit. Cost about £9.

Tried one from O'Leary's but again it didn't fit so I think what I am saying is unless you are offered a specific rapido oven shelf I would wait for one of the shows and try before you buy.

Why is buying an oven shelf so fraught with difficulty Rolling Eyes
Good luck in your hunt

Thanks for the replies so far.

I had looked at the adjustable ones but the slots they go into in the oven make it unlikely they will fit one even a little bit wider Sad

I was just hoping someone may know the make of oven fitted by Rapido, it would at least make the search a bit easier Rolling Eyes

I think you may be right Angie and I'll have to wait to try one at one of the shows.

Anyone any other ideas?

Try Waudby's near Hull.

I had some trouble trying to get a Thetford oven shelf as some are a few "mm" different to others.

I had an adjustable one on my last van which was about 3 mm too wide. I simple cut off 3 mm from the one which the other half slide inside.
