Hi all

Booked our ferry for September (£50 return bargain) and plan to drive down to Slovenia and return, we have 3 weeks so first question is, will this be amble time to enjoy the journey? 2 what route would be best ?.
We will play it by ear where we stop and how long for depending on how we feel, any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi

If I was doing this journey, I would

Day 1 - Dover etc to Karlhsruhe (Germany)

Day 2 - on to Slovenia!

I do not like over night stops.

However, more leisurely, you could for example

Day 1 - Reims - dinner on the Riverbank

Day 2 - Lucerne - dinner on the lake side

Day 3 - southern shores of Lake Garda

Day 4 Slovenia

The list of routes for this destination is endless but if you give me an example of the route /countries you prefer I will e mail you back my past journey (admittedly by coach) but at 62mph, similar timings etc

Allow a couple of days to visit Bled and if you are a golfer take your clubs.
