These two clips give an indication why having a Dash camera might be a good idea.

If there had been a coming together between any vehicle the clips would have given a reasonably good indication who may be to blame for any accident and help sort out insurance claims.

To play the clips at the best picture quality click on the 'cog' at the bottom right of the video and select 1080pHD.

In one clip the driver seems to be colour blind and not to know which lane would take him where he wanted to go.

The second clip shows a complete numpty who was in the wrong lane and to h*ll with the other traffic!

It's nearly Xmas Keith. It must be the stress but I have always found the driving standards drop off a cliff at this time of year. Shocked

I have had a couple of near misses already and stay alert at all times.

Should use the bus really. Very Happy

I do think they are a good idea but it adds one more chore to do before setting off. I will then have a TomTom, DashCam and my rear view monitor to watch in addition to the speed, fuel gauge, fuel consumption, engine temperature and my mirrors. I am still expected to glance from time to time through the windscreen; to admire the view.
"Sorry dear, what was that you were telling me?"
Meanwhile my feet are pushing throttle, brake and clutch when I am not deciding to switch off or on the cruise control.

Yes! I think the dash cam may well be a useful aid, to spot if and when I go wrong.

Alan

I'm going to get a dual dash and rear-view camera for the Discovey and trailer, the whole outfit is 13-14metres long and seeing directly behind is useful.

Like all thimgs 'useful', there is a workload to keep them running, but they are useful and could help in the event of a motoring dispute, especially abroad.

Probably the best accessory I've ever bought for a vehicle, we switch it between MH and car and in both they start up when ignition switched on.
