Hi,

Looking for a winde out awning and room for my LDV Convoy race truck/camper. Just need to use it 1-2 days at a weekend race meeting, dont need to take down until we leave. Any suggestions for a robust model that is quite wind resistant as most kart race tracks seem to be at the tops of hills and are often windy. Been looking at the Fiamma Zip or Omnistar and safari

Thanks

Jon

Hi Jon
We have a fiamma zip, takes about 20mins to put the sides and front on.
We always use a tie-down strap and find it stable in most winds, i'd suggest you get a skirt for the van to stop the wind getting underneath vanside.

hi jon
we have both a fiamma zip with safari room and drive away awning and i would say fiamma would be better when windy with a couple of tie down straps a word of advice though even if you are just using the windout and there's no wind still peg the legs down ( i've learned the hard way)

Hi,

Thank you for all your replies, If I was using say a fiamma or similar awning, without the sides, would you recomend fixing the legs to the van? A lot of circuits have tarmac pit spaces so pegs cant be used.

Thanks

Jon
