just wondering .... looking at many motorhomes its difficult sometimes to tell what the difference between a model version G and GL, L, LB etc. is ..some seem to make sense (G for garage model, L for L shaped lounge???...) are there any standards that apply between manufacturers? thanks for any hints...

Most manufacturers tend to use the same 'terminology' when it comes to floor plans and layouts..

eg.

EB = End Bedroom
RG = Rear Garage
FB = Fixed Bed
HB = High bed (over garage or half garage)

plus many more..

In my opinion No the numbers and somtimes letters or both after a Model name only mean somthing to the manufactures
its the same with cars
old volvo's used to mean something egVolvo 245 =series 2 -4 cylinder 5 doors 344 =series 3 4 cyl 4 doors but even they have lost it now.
Ford had l gl gxl etc all were trim levels often used by other makes and meant nothing in thier case

Hi

The only letters after a model number that seem to make any sense to me are the ones that follow my vans model name ..which is an Autosleeper Executive A. RM & LE. G

I think they represent the cost of my motorhoming Laughing Laughing

Mike

P.S. I have noted that my favorite layout is often labelled EK = end kitchen

Hi

L seems to indicate an L shape rear lounge rather than a U shape.
