Hi any recommendations gratefully accepted !

Would like to know of any campsites close to the beach in Scarborough ,
ie view of sea from M/h, any near Surf beach would be even better Cool

Same as above but for Whitby or any village type place over that way,
kids are going mad to get wetsuits and boards out for last time this year so thought might go for long weekend , starting Thurs , so urgent replies required !!

Is there any wild camping oppourtunities down by the seafront this time of year or will we get hassle from anybody late at night ?

Thanks

Jenks

Try loking at www.wildcamping.co.uk.

Also i've tried hook house farm at Robin Hood's Bay www.hookhousefarm.co.uk.

Also wild camping possibilities on the main road from Whitby towards Sandsend.

In Whitby itself you may have problems, much of the parking has no sleepingin vehicles. Not sure about the parking at th Abbey though.

Best just go for it. Something always turns up.

Hi we have parked on the South Quay at Scarborough paid the car parking fee for 24 hours about £5 I think it was, this was 2 years ago so may have changed since then. There is a site at Filey called Filey Brigg which is on the cliff top I think its run by Filey Council

The C &CC site at the north end of s'boro has sea views from the highest pitches (but closes after this weekend Crying or Very sad for the winter). You can walk across the field opposite to the cliffs, (about 1/4 mile) and down to the beach. We have parked in the fish dock parking (a tight fit) several times, and last year met a motorhomer as we were going out to whom we passed on our ticket (an hour to go 'til the end of the chargeable period) - he was going to stay overnight, he said he stays there regularly.
I have also seen vans parked along Sandside out of season, I beileve one of our members was almost full timing along there at one time?
Good parking on north bay during the day - loads of spaces facing out to sea; on the cliffs above south bay is also good day time parking, but notices stopping overnighting.
