Well were in the market to buy a camper, but trying to take it really slow and get to see as many differnt MH as possible. The problem is we keep changing which one is top of the list.

So far we have on the list
Carioca 665G
Burstner 747/2 Fiat
Chausson - can't remember model name as typing, was a Transit Base but the model with a garge.

Can any one recommend others that we should be looking at.

Noserider.............Look at em all.................sit in them, lie in the beds, stand in the shower and sit on the loo.............It's the only way to decide..see lots, keep a list of what you like and dislike about each model.

Try and build a list of what YOU want from the motorhome you buy, what features do YOU most need.......get as near as you can, its a big investment.

Good advice from Pusser...

We sat down and made a list of all the things that the m/h 'must have' and then added things that were 'highly desirable'
(easy enough to do using the table function in MS word)

That was half the battle; we then spent hours (and hours) in those m/hs at the top of the list... result!

Whatever you do, sleep on it for a few days... it gives you time to ignore the attraction of the shiny bits and come down on th side of reality...

good luck!

Only idiots and the Devil don't change their minds!!

Take your time - take your time - take your time

Agree with everything said before me - I'll just add one point - when you compile your "must have" list, don't make it too long or you'll spend the rest of your life looking for something that doesn't exist.

Take your time - take your time - take your time

Not only is the layeout important but the quality of the motorhome. Personally, I think you can't beat the Buerstner for finish and sturdiness.
My humble opinion. !!!!

we went to several different shows before actually buying. At first we settled on an Autotrail Cheyenne with a garage. At the time we thought the long seats for lounging and a garage were what we were looking for. Two years later when we came to buy we had changed our minds. We went for something low profile (cheaper fuel consumption) and shorter (cheaper on ferries & easier to park in car parks etc.) We can still lounge by having swivel cabs seats which meet up with parallel dining seats, a fixed bed, separate shower and L-shaped kitchen (more room) which were all of our must haves. Decided that a garage was not essential, there is loads of alternative storage space. Having flitted about in France we are chuffed that we got it right for us. But our final decision was a huge departure from what we first thought of. Take a long look around the February show (NEC) and then pester nearby dealers. They must be used to the same people coming and sitting in the motorhomes time and again without buying - I think we all seem to do it .
