Hi All,

Thinking of taking the plunge and buying a MH. I know it's the wrong time of year, but I have been offered a Fiat Ducato based Granduca. Has anyone heard of these models? How much should I expect to pay for a 1995 2.5 diesel? Many thanks for any help offered.

Ian.

I dont know of that model sorry, but welcome to MHF, my advice is if you have never been camping before maybe you should check out some other campervans first. Not to put you off but you should check some other designs/layouts to check they are right for you.

but if you know you want to join us all DO IT!!!!! Smile

An important thing to do, which I did not, at my cost, was have it damp checked. I don't know how much it cost to have done although I think you may be able to buy the machine and do it yourself.

This model was about the same age and look of my Old Two Loos La Trek and if it is in good nick I would guestimate Ģ9k, perhaps Ģ9,005.

Hi Ian, - I'm newish too. Stay on here! ( I have had loads of help and driven everyone round the twist! ) I also compared every dealer again and again for same model I wanted, and I had to reconsider from BIG one due to insurance problems. I went to see folk at a small meet, and went round with Shane and Sally from here to dealer. S & S gave me ' damp sniffing' lessons, and also advised buying a meter. Lately I bought MMM mag, and lots to compare in back of that - I was able to work out that I had paid (via dealer) the right sort of price for mine. Lots of luck, - Helena x

We bought our van through an advert in Autotrader. It's often overlooked.
