Hi All
I am in the process of trying to buy a Hymer B574 from Germany (my last purchase fell through see posting re companies) The problem I have is trying to find out the payload for a Fiat 2.8 jtd Hymer B574 reg 2001 I have searched the internet to no avail so i thought i may try here.Hoping to hear from all you experts soon.
It just so happens that i've got the 2001 hymer catalogue (sad or what)
A bit confusing but the B574 was made on either a Ducato 14 or a Ducato 18 chassis, you'll need to ask the dealer to check which chassis. I think the 18 is sometimes also referred to as the Maxi chassis.
-----------------------------------------
The 14 chassis has a MPLM of either 3500 or 3400, you'll need to ask the dealer to check the VIN plate for this.
Both these versions had a MIRO of 2930kg
MPLM of 3500 = payload of 570kg
MPLM of 3400 = payload of 470kg
-----------------------------------------
The 18 chassis has 3 possible MPLM's - 4000,3850 or 3500, once again check the plate.
All 3 versions had a MIRO of 300kg
MPLM of 4000 = payload of 1000kg
MPLM of 3850 = payload of 850kg
MPLM of 3500 = payload of 500kg
------------------------------------------
MPLM = Maximum Permitted Laden Mass (gross vehicle wt in old money)
MIRO = Mass In Running Order (unladen wt plus 90% fuel, water (fresh and waste tanks, gas and electric cable & 75kg for the driver wt)
The payloads will only be a rough guide as any extras fitted after manufacture will reduce each payload accordingly.
Following on, it is worth a trip to your local weigh bridge to get the vehicle weight when the diesel tank is full, the water tank is full and also the gas cylinders.
Rapide
