Hello,

i am at present very close to purchasing a new coral sport 660 DP on a fiat 3.0 litre diesal engined chassis. For £500 do you think i should pay the extra to have a fiat factory fitted crusie control. i have always fancied cruise control but never bothered on my cars. when i drive long distances eg 250 miles in a few hours in my car i do sometimes have to rattle my right foot to get rid of the minor cramp.

Also i as a matter of interest i note the previous discussion regarding seat belts, but this was one of the main reasons i am purchasing this model because it has 6 seat belts including passenger and driver.

while i am in the writing mood how difficult is it to repair these motor homes or any make of motor homes when you have a shunt in the side or back.

Hi, bandit.

I don't have one, but people who do swear by them, especially if you have the engine power to tackle hills easily. I met someone who was having one retro-fitted after the NEC show. It sounded like a good idea.

On the seat belts, it's very rare to be able to travel with all passengers belted up.

And repair? Are you intending having a shunt? There are people on her who work in the motorhome servicing industry, who might be able to reply with more knowledge.

Gerald

In a two words GET IT!!!!

i have it on my car and i would not be without it (ex tugger) now my MH doesnt have it but i have been looking at aftermarket kits for approx £350 for the iveco so i may have to invest. The best way to have it is from new and fitted on ordering. I dont have experience with your cab but most i do have it with are fine

Hi Bandit1

We had cruise control fitted as a modification by Conrad Anderson, really appreciate it on those long trips along the French motorways. Pricewise £500 factory fitted sounds a bit expensive but it will be covered by the vehicles warranty. When I enquired about cruise control Peugeot did not want to know and informed me that if any faults on the vehicle were caused by this modification the warranty would be invalidated.
Can't help you with information regarding accident repairs, as yet we have not had one, and hopefully never will.

Rob,

It should already be installed in your Iveco it just needs activating. it cost me about £60 to have mine done in Jan 2001.

I'll try and look out the details, I might still have them.

Hi Bandit,
I too have had Cruise Control fitted by Conrad Anderson. This is our second van with it. We live in the South of France and tend to do quite long trips, often with a lot of Autoroute driving. For me Cruise control is the best value accessory I have had fitted which makes driving less tiring. DO IT !

Regards, Tom

cruise control is the thing I miss most on buying our first motorhome in September of this year. I owned caravans previous to this and traded in my Galaxy which had cruise and I loved it, especially on long trips and touring abroad.

I am going to have cruise fitted to my van in the new year, or certainly before our South of France trip in the summer and if all goes well a sat tv system (camos when the updated version arrives) and a good sat nav system (i like the look of the Pioneer Avic-xibt)

(any dealers looking are welcome to Quote me for a special price on the lot) well I am a Scot, you have to ask!! Wink

regarding 6 seat belts, that and budget was the reason we went for the Ace Firenze. Our main summer holiday trips and many weekends away always include my Daughter, her hubby and our two grandchildren, so the actual choice of motorhome was extremely limited (budget included)
So far we are really happy with it and when its just the wife and I, woow the roooooooom Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Rob,

I can't find the details but my Laika was a 2000 Iveco Daily 35C13.

Just contact a Iveco dealer and they should be able to sort it out for you.
