I've agreed to buy a smaller s/h moytorhome from Germany for me mum, and I thought I'd check up here first. I have owned an A-class for around 3 years now, but my knowledge of the smaller van-type models is a little limited. Does the typical motorhome built on (say) a Fiat Ducato van with a high-top generally have toilet and shower? If so, are these going to be microscopically dimensioned? IOW will one need a shoe horn to get back out again? Very Happy

TIA,
-Steve W

A maximum of 9000 EUR. A look at mobile.de seems fairly encouraging, but it would help if anyone could recommend specific models with reasonable facilities. Very many of the so-called motorhomes of this type on show seem to have an absolute minumum of equipment installed. I've even seen minibuses masquerading as motorhomes Rolling Eyes

Any thoughts??

Hi Hymerhobo
I have a Fiat Duc 14 with hi-top, bought it from holland, left hooker with 2.5d engine. Had it for a year now, as we live in France I bought it just to weekend in but it's so brill I use it all the time for my trips to Spain which i make every couple of months.
Yes it does come with T & S, small kitchen, hot water and blown heating, even the dog likes it. not so tiny, mind you I'm only 11 stone, its a Reimo conversion and ideal for inconspicuous parking and wildcamping, I can pull off main roads into tiny villages and tuck myself away for the night.
Owned many an A class but this one is fun and fast, at least my trips become adventures not just home from home dashes to the sun.

Regards Patyogi.

Don't know too many in that range, so I'll stick to what I know: What about THIS. The last one has a picture of the toilet/shower.
