Will be picking up our very first motorhome in February, all going well, we purchased a Swift gazelle F63, 2001 plate, very nice clean motor, and I was wondering if any of you can tell what I should be looking out for from the dealer when I pick the vehicle up, being I am a beginner at this motorhome lark ,
Also if any body else has the same type of motorhome I would be very grateful for any tips
Just a quick thought - when they're showing you all the bits and pices, make sure that what they show you actually works. Don't accept that a tap will produce water from it "when you fill up" - get them to fill the tank, and actually show you water coming out of the tap. Same with the heater and water heaters, and all the electrical gubbins.
There is also advice on this forum to video the handover, so you can refresh at leisure (when you forget what the man said)

I retired eight months ago from a well known motorhome dealership. Part of my job was to do the hand-overs. Sometimes we used to forget minor details which we assumed to be general knowledge. So please be patient with both yourselves and the hand-over person. Remember that the only "stupid" question is the one you don't ask. So ask as many questions as you like and as has been said before, get them to demonstrate everything: bed making up, electrics and water including how to winterise etc. It should be a pleasureable experience for all. Go on and enjoy.

Thanks to every one for the advice it was much appreciated, and all is noted and taken in, I can’t wait to pick it up and start playing with it, now I am thinking of buying a Satellite system for it to keep my grandson quite (well that’s my excuse), I kinder like the Camos doom type, done a little a bit of reading on it specially from this forum, has any body fitted one of these dooms,
Beings there are not too many dealers in my area that sells and fit them
