Has anyone got one? And what are they like, they seem to offer very good value for money and are reasonably built. Also is the 2.2.130Bhp Transit ok?
I have got the chance off the above and would love some views on it.

Hi,
I have a Chausson Allegro 83 April 06. Lowline, fixed bed. The van is as you say great value for money and well built. Ours is on the Renault Master which is absolutely brilliant.

My cousin has the similar overcab version that I think you are going for. Is it overcab version with bunks at the back?
He has had no problems with it and his young family love it. He has rented it out too. I know that he is disappointed with the low mileage he is getting though.
Where are you going to buy it from? Are they established Chausson dealers? The reason I ask is that Chausson are let down by their aftersales as it took me 9 months to get the correct plate to show that my van is 3800kg not 3500 which was on the van. Also spare parts never seem to get here. My dealer had just started with them and struggled with communication due to the language. Places like RDH and Barrons will have more impact.
The van is well made and extremely good value for money and really looks good too. We have had ours 9 months and have done 7,000 miles in it.
Hope this helps
Chris

Very Happy
Hi there, can't speak for the model you are looking at; but I do have a 2002 Chausson Welcome, and find that it has offered very good value. I've had it for 1 year now, and I've covered app. 14000 Km on Fiat 2.8 JTD and no probs. at all apart from a slight cosmetic crack around the sink pug hole.
saluti, eddied
