Hi

All I can suggest is do a Google search for the area you are interesting in and then contact each site individually.

I contacted several sites here in Italy and as a very rough guide, the tariff was halved for a long term stay. Some would not discount at all, others offered as must as 70 per cent off, but if I stayed in July and August, the full tariff applied.

Hi

Just a thought - are you looking to go now - for this winter?

If so, I think must places would be full.

There is a site at Benidorm for example, I think it is called El Raco and they do not take bookings. They fit you in if they can. I could be mistaken but suggest you have a play on Google.

Or you could come to Italy!!!

Russell

Hiya Charmillie,we started fulltiming just over 3 years ago and love it.
We bought a book called Guia Oficial de Campings and found it extremely useful. We got it from a large newsagents in Spain, however we've since seen it in the supermarkets there, such as Carrefour.

A handy tip if you intend buying a dictionary, make sure you get the one relevant to the region you're in ( eg, Basque, Catalan, etc ) as the language varies quite a bit as you move around.

We started off with a 32 ft Gulfstream and encountered little or no problems with regard to the accessibility of sites.
Good luck with your travels and hope you enjoy it as much as we do !!
Very Happy

el Raco in Benidorm is an excellent site and reasonably priced with a good discount if you stay 30 days or more. Its ideally sited just a short walk from the town centre and has all facilities available. There are cheaper sites on the outskirts of town. El Raco doesnt take bookings you just turn up like russell says. Beauty of that area is theres plenty to see and do.

Over winter there are reductions for long stays, the price for one night tends to be very expensive ( this is to deter wildcampers calling in for all the facilities and going off again all clean and tidy ) Then you will get a reduction for a three day stay, week , month etc. Where we are now the best reduction is for 62 days. That works out for two people about 14 euros which is fairly expensive as a long term price. You also have to pay for elec. but the wifi is FREE
We visited a friend on a site yesterday in Alicante who is paying 7.70 euros a night for a month including elec. You pay your money and take your choice.
El Raco in Benidorm might be a bit tight depending on your RV

From Bilbao a two to three hour drive will take you south to Haro, Logrono or Burgos where there are good sites suitable for RVs. You could also go to St Jean de Luz in France where there are RV suitable sites. What I have never found id sites suitable for RVs on the northern coast of Spain. Does anyone know any ?
There are lots of sites for RVs in Spain but also a lot that are not.
We gave up ringing ahead as they always say .. no problema... which to our cost we found is not always the case.

Happy travels
