Hi after a year of looking seeing the ideal models , then changing mind over and over we have now decided on the a class .....probably.

We are hoping to emigrate this year and want to buy a mh for 6 months until we do , ideal for seeing the country while the house is on the market too. When we do emigrate we hope to do the same ie buy a mh on buy back in oz only in reverse while we buy a house.

The question though is , does anyone know of any dealers from low scotland to midlands that do a buyback service , its just too much hassle to buy then sell by ourselves.

Models we are looking for is A class fixed rear bed wihthout stairs to it or really good low profile , buying 30-50k depending on right one.

thanks

Hi

I have not heard of a buyback scheme. There are many dealers who will offer to buy your motorhome for cash etc....

Selling privately is not bad at all - I have done it and so have many others on the site.

Your other option is to negotiate a long term hire rate.

Russell

Not exactly Scotland but this is the only dealer I know who does buy-back.

If you lend someone £20 and never see that person again, it was probably well worth it. Wink

We met an Australian couple last year who'd bought in Holland on a buy-back scheme. They hired the van in April and intended to sell back in September and go back to Oz. Might be worth looking at Dutch dealers and starting your trip from there.

Might be an idea to buy in Germany and sell in the UK. That way you might not loose much on the deal

Any dealer in the UK will do a buy back deal but you may lose about 20k on your purchase, but as you say it does take hassel out of selling????
