Hi there, First post on here. I don't have a campervan or MH yet. A few years ago I saw a very small van that would suit me for weekends away fishing. It was the same height/size as a mercedes vito panel van. ie less than 6 feet 6 inches high and about 15-16 feet long. It was kitted out with a single bed/seat and a small area for cooking. It had 2 seats up front. I really need to buy something similar as soon as possible. It needs to be able to pass underneath those horizontal bars that prohibit MH and full-size campervans. This would give me access to all the better fishing areas. It was a few years ago that I saw that small van so I hope that something similar is still avaiable. please help me out if you can

Hi Davie11,
I think your best bet would be to check out eBay, look in "Campers, Caravans and Motorhomes".
You will find a good cross section of vehicles from Transit conversions to luxury RVs. You might have to travel to pick it up, but it's well worth a try.

Regards,
Bob

Welcome to MHF Dave,

Your need for a less than 2 metre height will be quite a challenge and I think even rules out many pop-tops.

It would be very interesting to have a list of sub 2m campers and would make a good article on MHF to add to the FAQs.

Good luck with your searching.

Paul

Hi dave and welcome

I had an old renault traffic panel van a few years ago, that I converted (very basic) but that would go under the barriers.

(couldn't stand up in it mind Embarassed )

Thanks all for helpful replies. I went today and saw a Peugeot Mezan Low Line (with a folding roof) Details given for it show that it is 6 foot 5 inches high (with roof down) and overall length of 16 foot 3 inches. The height MIGHT be a problem cause some of those barriers probably are not entirely accurate. It has 2 single beds/1 double. Though small inside it seems the type of thing I'm after. I don't want to buy in a hurry, so more suggestions or alternatives would be SO helpful. Please help out.....names of potential UK dealers etc: Thanks for help so far!! Very Happy

Dave

What's your budget - maybe these people; I know they do lowered suspension VW conversions which go under 2M barriers

Hi Dave,

This is just under the size of the Mezan, not sure about the head room...
